We're home for two weeks. We made our "to do list" and have accomplished most of it. We still have income tax to file but this will get done on friday. we're heading to Calgary on monday for a couple of days and then we head back to winnipeg on april 11th. A rather short stay and home but to date its been great

Beyond the first day of spring

Five days into spring. March 25th. Snow!!, wind, icy roads. More snow called for tomorrow. Temperatures -21 with the wind chill. Hard to believe we're into spring. Perhaps today is April 1st.

Still Winter

Its still winter here. Last week we had temperatures running in the low -20C, wind chill factor bringing some overnite temperatures down to -30. I'm getting tired of it now. Spring is only 20 days away and i really can't foresee anything here that would resemble spring at that time. We still have about a foot of snow and unless we get some warm weather, I may not get to see the daffodils until April??
I remember when I lived on the west coast. At this time of year you would see snow drops and crocus' popping out of the ground. I miss that.
